Parent Association: The parents and guardians of individuals receiving services from South Chicago Parents & Friends met as an informal support group in 1982. During their meetings, they discussed their children's needs and lack of community resources. As a result, the group established the formal Parent Association, and began fundraising on behalf of South Chicago Parents & Friends.
The Parent Association meets twice annually. The group hosts 2 fundraisers per year with the monies being used for their consumers.
Our Parent Association is consistently looking for new members. You don't have to be a parent, guardian or family member of an individual with a disability attending South Chicago Parents & Friends to be a member. You can be a relative, friend, neighbor, or just someone who would like to make a difference.
For more information, please contact Cathy Clark-Haase via email, or at (773) 734-2222 x 227. |
